Gala Raises More Than $15,000 To Support The Chase Home

In May, nearly 100 persons were in attendance at a Gala event at AC Hotel in Portsmouth that helped raise more than $15,000 to support The Chase Home. The event was presented and organized by Seacoast Oral Surgery Center & Lakes Region Oral Surgery Center.

“We are so excited that we could provide The Chase Home with much needed support,” said Shannon Pietrowicz, implant and public relations coordinator at Seacoast Oral Surgery Center. “They do important work.”

Founded in 1877, The Chase Home in Portsmouth provides at-risk youth across the state with prevention, early intervention, residential, and community-based services. According to Meme Wheeler, executive director of The Chase Home, the event served a dual purpose.

“The financial support is important, but also the awareness of what we do and who we serve,” she said. “This awareness is especially important as we head into summer and provide our kids with unforgettable experiences that require community support…This event provided us with a chance to share our story and the needs of our kids.”

In looking to the future of the event, Pietrowicz expressed enthusiasm at the opportunity to work with The Chase Home staff to further develop it. “We want this to be a signature event on the Seacoast that can really make a difference,” she said. “We believe in Chase Home’s mission and their impact.”
