Laughter and Chocolate at The Chase Home

At The Chase Home’s 8th Annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting at Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club in Portsmouth on Tuesday, November 8, chocolate will figuratively, if not literally, take center stage. Participating chocolatiers at this year’s 8th Annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting include Enna Chocolate, La Cascade du Chocolat, and Wm Poole Confections.

“Chocolatiers help make this event an unforgettable experience for guests,” noted Meme Wheeler, executive director at The Chase Home. “We are so grateful for their support and care, as their talents make this event unique.”

Presented by LeMay Family Goodworks, the event is also a major fundraiser for The Chase Home, as proceeds support services for at-risk youth and families made available through prevention, early intervention, residential and community-based programs. “If the chocolate does not encourage people to attend, we hope our mission to improve the lives of kids in crisis will,” added Wheeler.

Founded in 1877, The Chase Home annually serves more than 200 at-risk youth and families throughout the Seacoast and New Hampshire. Its mission is “dedicated to providing supportive and restorative residential and family services to at-risk youth in a safe and nurturing environment.”

This mission has attracted numerous corporate sponsors, including Northeast Credit Union. “What an absolute privilege it is to support The Chase Home and the impactful work they are doing to help local youth lead happier, healthier lives,” stated Northeast Credit Union President and CEO Chris Parker. “When a nonprofit’s mission aligns seamlessly with ours, which is to enrich and nourish the lives of others, it makes sense to partner together to make a meaningful impact.”

In addition to LeMay Family Goodworks and Northeast Credit Union, other major sponsors include Service Credit Union, Kennebunk Savings, Partners Bank, WIN Waste Innovations, and Brian Gibb.

Ben Lindberg, director on The Chase Home Board and main organizer of the 8th Annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting, said community support for the event is “humbling.” “We appreciate everyone who is involved in supporting this event, which is not just an opportunity to support kids, but get together as a community,” he said. “We are honored that so many people and organizations are rallying for kids and families in real need.”

Taking place on Tuesday, November 8, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., The Chase Home’s 8th Annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting features chocolate, wine, and hors d’oeuvres. The evening’s program includes a live and silent auction, fund-a-need, and special guest performance by the Voice Contestant Cara Brindisi.

VIP and regular admission tickets are $150 and $100, respectively, with sponsorship opportunities beginning at $250. Tickets may be purchased by clicking here.
