Justin Rivlin, Chase Home Board MemberFounded in 1877, The Chase Home in Portsmouth provides stability and support for at-risk youth and their families, a mission that will take center stage on November 13 at its 6th Annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting.

Presented by The Atlantic Grill, the event serves to not only raise funds for services for youth and families with nowhere else to turn, it sheds light on “a harsh reality.”

“There are kids right here in Portsmouth that are really struggling and need a lot of support,” said Justin Rivlin, board member at The Chase Home and general manager at River House.

“The more I learned about The Chase Home, the more I wanted to get involved,” he added.

Serving nearly 300 at-risk youth and families annually through prevention, early intervention, residential and community-based programs, The Chase Home recently attracted Sean and Kirsten Mahoney to its mission.

“The Chase Home has been providing support for kids in need for 142 years and the demand for their services has never been greater,” said Sean. “Whether it’s helping with food security or providing a residential safe harbor for kids and families dealing with tough life’s tough circumstances, Chase Home is there.”

Electing to sponsor The Chase Home’s 6th Annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting, Sean said he and his wife are honored to support “the incredibly worthy work” performed by its staff.

“Their programs help kids from disadvantaged beginnings get a better shot at becoming productive members of our community,” he added.

Expressing appreciation at Mahoney’s support, Rivlin said he is grateful for “all those stepping up to support Chase Home.”

“By working together, we can make a difference in the lives of kids today and in their future as adults,” he said. “I’m so thankful for the support we receive from the community.”

In addition to Sean and Kirsten Mahoney, major sponsors of the 6th Annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting include presenting sponsor The Atlantic Grill with additional support by Kennebunk Savings, Enna Chocolate and La Cascade Du Chocolat.

Taking place on Wednesday, November 13 from 6 to 8 pm, The Chase Home’s 6th Annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting will feature food, cocktails, a short program, and a live and silent auction.

Individual tickets for the fundraiser are $65 with sponsorship opportunities beginning at $250.
