Meme and CarlosWorking with some of the region’s most at-risk youth and their families, The Chase Home relies on corporate support to meet complex community needs, which underscores its upcoming  6th Wine & Chocolate Tasting.

Presented by The Atlantic Grill, the event will take place on Wednesday, November 13 from 6 to 8 pm at which many corporate supporters will be in attendance.

“The evening is a chance for The Chase Home to work with the corporate sector around a singular event with tremendous financial impact on our bottom line,” said Executive Director Meme Wheeler.

The goal this year, she said, is to net $60,000 to support clinical and residential services for the hundreds of youth served each year by The Chase Home.

For Bradford C. Paige, president and CEO of Kennebunk Savings, which is this year’s Program Sponsor for the event, the work performed by The Chase Home is “critically needed.”

“It is unfortunate that so many of our youth have experienced life-altering trauma,” he said. “The services provided by Chase Home are changing the course of the future for these youth.”

Noting Kennebunk Savings also provided $5,000 to support its Diversion Program, which seeks to provide alternatives to traditional punitive measures for kids beginning to get into trouble, Wheeler said corporate and individual support make a difference.

“Financial support provides kids who live here with clothes, food, services vocational skills training and more,” she said. “We are so grateful to Kennebunk Savings and our many other supporters. We cannot meet the needs of the community alone.”

Founded in 1877, The Chase Home serves nearly 300 at-risk youth and families annually statewide through prevention, early intervention, residential and community-based programs.

The 6th Wine & Chocolate Tasting, presented by The Atlantic Grill, will take place on Wednesday, November 13 from 6 and 8 pm at The Atlantic Grill, 5 Pioneer Road in Rye. Doors open at 5:30 pm.
