Founded in 1877, The Chase Home was still unknown to many on the Seacoast just a few years ago, which is not the case today as it recently announced its 5th Wine & Chocolate Tasting.
Taking place for the first time at The Atlantic Grill in Rye, this year’s event (November 13) has already attracted several corporate supporters, including Kennebunk Savings as Chocolate Sponsor.
“We are thrilled at this new partnership with Kennebunk Savings,” said Meme Wheeler, executive director of The Chase Home. “Their team visited us for an on-site visit and took the time to learn what we do and who we serve…This is an incredible partnership.”
Last year, the annual fundraiser netted more than $30,000, an amount that Jennifer Desrosiers, who serves on The Chase Home board, believes they can eclipse this year by “a wide margin.”
“What amazes me about The Chase Home is the scope of our services and just how involved we are in the lives of kids in crisis,” she said. “It’s what brought me here as a volunteer and board member–and I think it is bringing more people to our event each year, too.”
In addition to wine, chocolate and appetizers, the event will feature a silent and live auction. Proceeds from the event will support programs and services provided by The Chase Home to youth and families in crisis. These programs and services include Residential Services , Home-Based Service, Seacoast Community Diversion, Independent Living and Seacoast Youth Suicide Prevention Network.
“We feel it is important to share with the community exactly what their dollars will support,” added Desrosiers, who owns Laney & Lu in Exeter.
In addition to Kennebunk Savings, financial support is also provided by Great Island Realty, The Provident Bank and Private Client Underwriters.
Individual tickets for the fundraiser are $65 with sponsorship opportunities beginning at $250, all of which include complimentary admission(s) to the event.
The 5th Wine & Chocolate Tasting will take place on Tuesday, November 13 from 6 and 8 pm at The Atlantic Grill, 5 Pioneer Road in Rye. Door open at 5:30 pm.
