On the first Friday of each month this year, Jersey Mike’s Portsmouth will provide free regular subs to 10 to 15 youth residents who live at The Chase Home. “We are truly thrilled by this support,” said Meme Wheeler, executive director of The Chase Home. “It’s something the kids can look forward to each month.”

Matt Goyette, owner of Jersey Mike’s Portsmouth, said their support of The Chase Home reflects their organization’s philosophy of giving back. “When we learned about The Chase Home and their mission, we made the choice to support them and their kids,” he said. “We are excited about this partnership.”

Jersey Mike’s Portsmouth’s Natasha Goyette added, “We would love it if other local restaurants joined Jersey Mike’s in our effort to give these children something to look forward to every Friday night of the year.”

Andre Owens, chef at The Chase Home, said he is excited, too. “I care about our kids, so it is really wonderful to see an organization step in and make an impact like this,” he said.

Owens also cited a personal agenda. “It gives me a night off,” he laughed.
